So I never read or blog anymore...

I can't seem to read a book, other than what I have to do for the kids' school and my class.  I'm taking Healthway, which is so far a miserable failure.  I'm not getting enough activity, or eating the right foods, or losing weight.  I just feel lots of guilt, which I hope will lead to actual repentance and change.  That's what the plan says will happen...

Anyhoo.  Grandma passed away and life has been an insane whirlwind ever since.  The uncles are having a hard time learning to be grownups without Mama telling them every move to make, and the thank you cards have fallen on me.  Usually, at a funeral, when you sign the book it asks for your name and address.  Not this book- just a big old list of names, some so scribbly I can't even read them.  What a headache.  I also almost called Grandma again yesterday.  I tell ya, I'm losing it.

I found this cool website and should do some stuff and trade on it.  Or add something else to my to do list, or something like that...

Jamie MacLeod- Highland Lass

Almost finished with this one.  It's taking me forever.  Had a lot of sewing to do, which I'll post on here too.  Did an awesome project for Miranda's school project.  Back to the book... It's a retelling of a George MacArthur book, and it's really good.  Not easy to get into, but once I did, I'm hooked.  The next in the series is Robbie Taggart.  I'll update on that sooner I hope.

Grandma has been home and back in the hospital and now she's back in rehab.  They are trying to work her up to a regular diet.  Her stomach just won't accept much, so that's why she landed back in the hospital.  I'm off to call and check on her.

The Knight

I finished this one finally.  Great series. The Bishop is next and the church library doesn't have it yet.  I'm reading Highland Lass by Michael Phillips now.  Eh, I'm having trouble getting into it and keeping up with it.  I keep forgetting where I put it last...

Grandma's been in and out of the hospital some more.  Currently in.  I'm so stressed.

Big giveaway- and I want this ebook something awful!!!

Couple of books

I finished The Rook by Steven James.  Awesome, wonderful, creepy, disturbing.  I loved it.  Started The Knight.

Also read A Perilous Proposal by Michael Phillips.  I loved it.  It was also a bit disturbing, but in a different way.  Don't read it first though, read the Shenandoah Sisters series first.  My church library doesn't seem to have these, and I owe all the other libraries a bunch of money so I have to come up with these.  I'm a bum.

Grandma is in a "rehab" facility.  It's basically nursing home.  They are getting her up some so I guess it's fine.  Small, drab, and depressing, but okay.  She's much more alert and back to her old self mentally, just still very weak and tired.

Finished one

That's really weird that my posts all went in on the same day even though they were written at different times.  I'm going to blame it on operator error.  Anyhoo...

I finished MatchPoint by Erynn Mangum.  Awesome.  She is so stinking hilarious and it's such a sweet story.  It's the third in the series, so now I have to wait for the next one.  On to start on The Rook.

52 books

It's not going well.  My grandma has been in the  hospital for 2.5 weeks and it's eating up my reading time.  She's hanging in, but it's not easy.  She had a brain bleed and is very weak and still confused often.

Anyway, I finally finished Salty Like Blood by Harry Kraus MD.  It was awesome.  Not for the faint of heart though, as there is a kidnapping of a little girl that might make some parents lose their composure.  Hope to read one this week.  We shall see...
